Campaign love: Two sides of a decadent life

We’re all about hedonistic lifestyles and how they’re the go-to mood for ad campaigns. Decadence and fashion go hand in hand for obvious reasons. The fashion-obsessed lifestyle is an absolute, unapologetic vice (the cost of one designer dress can build a school in Africa, or something), and it’s almost natural how upscale brands portray its high moments. It gets interesting though, when you see how high-street labels can do as well of a job of it.

Today’s we’re admiring two faces of decadence in Fall campaigns for Steve Madden and Marciano. The former focuses on the “badder” aspect of it, with models doing carefree poses in the dark in a speakeasy type of location, while Marciano highlights in-your-face glamour as a main driver in the pursuit of a fashionable life.
