#MenswearMonday: Anti-fashion by Kenzo SS2014

Reading a weekly fashion glossy the other day, we came across a blurb from a Dubai resident who was captured for the magazine’s street style section. Sporting a COMME des GARÇONS-inspired ensemble, she said something that really struck us, “I wish people in Dubai would appreciate all the other ways one can be fashionable, not just the glam look.”

What a spot-on observation of the way Dubai folks dress and perceive style. When you see a lot of women wearing Louboutins and men dashing in shiny suit jackets while running errands, you know there’s a little bit of truth to what she’s saying. And that is what inspired us for today’s #MenswearMonday, featuring Kenzo’s seemingly anti-fashion Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

An eclectic range showcasing dizzying prints, paneled jackets, boxy cuts and seasonal brights, Kenzo’s new collection presents playful urban options that can be dressed up or down to suit any occasion. The tidal theme, embodied in black and white print, is going to be a hit on the beach in the summer. The accessories are shaping up to be SS2014 must-buys as well – keep a close eye on the bags and shoes!
