Spring Getaway: Hotel Missoni Kuwait
Food is cheap in Kuwait. But if you already have two restaurants (one of them award-winning) and a café within the building, there’s no reason to go and explore uncharted territory. We had our breakfast at Luna, where a healthy selection anyone would want to get them up and perky in the morning is served to guests. But that is just a sampler of what the restaurant is known for all over Kuwait.
The luminously lovely Luna restaurant & Sushi Bar is the hotspot of Hotel Missoni Kuwait. Enjoying a stunning position on the 18th floor, the restaurant has a vast terrace with spectacular views of the Gulf. Our Missoni designed, modern Arabic lounge and restaurant has a mocktail bar, serving classics and exciting, fresh new flavour combinations, created by our expert mixologists.
Luna Features a well-balanced menu that includes a range of seafood and meat dishes all inspired by various cuisines of the world. Guests can enjoy a scrumptious selection of salads and cold appetizers buffet (continental and oriental) alongside a tapas menu fusing together traditional Arabic delicacies with a hint of Asian and Mediterranean influence along with wide selection of Luna’s special Japanese Delights.
Light, mid-day snacks are served at the delightfully bubbly Choco Café. Inspired by a love affair with great coffee and rich, smooth, delicious chocolate, the Choco Café is a dynamic, ever evolving fashionista runway: the place in Kuwait to see and be seen. Fabulous, frivolous, and fun, it provides an exhilarating sensory experience with sensational signature Missoni stripes emphasised by designer lighting.
A selection of the best of contemporary Italian casual food, indulgent pastries, fresh salads and delicious, rustic paninis provide great company to the exquisite range of coffee and chocolate drinks on the menu. We recommend you to try white chocolate and mango, Laban-blended smoothie – a truly refreshing drink that embodies the essence of Choco Café.
Meanwhile, our dinner at Hotel Missoni Kuwait’s signature restaurant Cucina was a whole other experience. Served with a 6-course meal of chicken, seafood, risotto and pasta finished off with a selection of interestingly-flavored sorbet (you should try the lemon one), we enjoyed an explosive mix of authentic contemporary Italian flavours.
Cucina has seasonal menus, importing the very best from Italy. With fine gourmet treats, exquisite homemade pastas, enticing fish & meat specialties, and mouthwatering desserts, the restaurant differentiates itself from the pack with dishes accented with small local touches. The ambience is relaxed yet upscale, enhanced by fabulous Missoni-patterned tableware that turn every meal into a celebration. Surroundings designed to reflect the mood of the moment. Light and bright in the mornings, atmospheric at night.
