Instagram-connected Polaroid camera for your personal style photos coming in 2014
Now, this isn’t a photography or technology news website, but we’re sure anything Instagram-related is relevant to our readers, as a huge chunk of the photo sharing application’s users are fashion people. If it weren’t, the notion that Instagram can be summarised into a collection of snaps of shoes, dresses, and food wouldn’t exist today, and yet it does.
The Socialmatic instant-printing Polaroid camera, with its design cues inspired by Instagram’s app icon, is predicted to be a hit among fashion lovers who love to take photos of their shopping escapades, daily outfits and seasonal wishlists. The retro body beautifully contrasts with its modern Android-running internals, and the camera is ready to print as well as immediately share photos to Instagram via 3G or WiFi.
Some people would argue that having an Instagram-dedicated camera wouldn’t make a lot of sense because we can just install the app on our smartphones anyway, but we haven’t quite heard of a phone that can print photos right off the bat. If not for functionality, a lot of people would try to get their mitts on these cameras solely for the cool factor.
The Socialmatic Polaroid Instagram camera is slated for release in early 2014, and we’re sure the launch will draw crowds. That’s if Instagram is still relevant then.
