Get your Dubai World Cup inspiration from Esmod’s Hats Off exhibition
Already preparing your outfit for this year’s Dubai World Cup but lacking inspiration in the headwear department? A VIP visit to Philip Treacy’s atelier is a must, but then everybody else is going to him so that’s probably not going to help you stand out and win any awards at the Jaguar Style Stakes.
Our recommendation is to keep your eyes peeled for a number of budding talents from Dubai’s most reputable fashion schools, Esmod, which is launching its Hats Off exhibition at the Esmod Fashion Store at Wafi Mall from Saturday, 9 March for an entire month. The showcase will feature unique creations from the institution’s most talented students who have received mentoring from Parisian hat designer Sophie Papiernik.
You won’t be able to buy any of the hats, though, as these creations will go with the students’ final collections which are set to hit the runway in the next few months. so the best thing to get out the experience is inspiration for headpieces to wear to the Dubai World Cup. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to exercise your powers of persuasion and maybe try to get a student to make a special hat for your Jaguar Style Stakes-winning ensemble.
