Georgia May Jagger and boyfriend Josh McLellan for Sunglass Hut’s Valentine’s Day campaign
Sunglass Hut, the leading global sunglass retailer, has unveiled Global Brand Ambassador Georgia May Jagger and her boyfriend, model and musician Josh McLellan, as the leading faces of its 2013 Valentine’s Day campaign. For the campaign creative, Sunglass Hut wanted to showcase a real relationship filled with love and heartfelt moments that truly captures the essence of Valentine’s Day.
This marks the second campaign for the duo who appeared in the Sunglass Hut holiday campaign, which ran in print, online and in-stores. For the Valentine’s Day shoot, Sunglass Hut decided to bring back the pair for a more intimate look.
Georgia May and Josh had input on their wardrobe and picked out sunglass styles for each other. To make the shoot more personal, Josh showed off his artistic skills and created the bright pink graffiti Valentine background for Georgia May.
“It’s been great to work with Josh, we got to play around, pose with sunglasses and have fun with each other. Josh was getting ready to go on tour with his band, so it was really nice to spend an entire day with him before he left. It didn’t hurt that he is a natural on camera too! Sunglass Hut let us be ourselves and you can really see that through the campaign pictures,” said Georgia May Jagger.
The Valentine’s Day campaign was shot by fashion photographer, Kenneth Willardt and styled by Kate Mossman. It is set to debut this coming February at retail locations, online and on Sunglasshut.com.
Part of the campaign will be showcased as a digital SUNGLASS HUT DEBUTS VALENTINE’S DAY CAMPAIGN STARRING GEORGIA MAY JAGGER AND BOYFRIEND JOSH MCLELLAN video featuring the couple playing on set, modeling and rocking out to “Alien Girl” by Turbogeist, the London band that features Josh on drums.
“We saw Georgia and Josh’s chemistry come through the Sunglass Hut holiday campaign and decided to have them shoot Valentine’s Day. The whole campaign focuses around giving the look of love and we wanted our customers to relate to the young couple,” said Fabio D’Angelantonio, Executive Vice President Sun and Luxury and Chief Marketing Officer at Luxottica.
“Our Valentine’s Day concept reflects the notion that you’ll be rewarded for thinking outside of conventional presents and we believe as a couple, Georgia and Josh convey that in a very authentic way.”
