Spontaneous glamour for Jimmy Choo’s Spring/Summer 2013 campaign
It’s campaign ogling time, and first in line is Jimmy Choo’s Spring/Summer 2013 campaign which exhibits the best kind of glamour there is. It’s candid, it’s spontaneous, it’s natural and relaxed – as though sending the message that anyone slipping into the brand’s wares is ready for a photo op that may crop up at any moment.
Debuting in February 2013 worldwide, the series of images were shot by British fashion photographer Angelo Pennetta, styled by Camilla Nickerson and featuring model Valerija Kelava. Reflecting Pennetta’s spontaneous photographic style, the images offer a glimpse into a couple’s of-the-moment life, as a backdrop to the collection of shoes, bags and eyewear that reflect an urban, haute gypsy vibe.
The series of images depicts a modern woman in motion, portrayed by model Valerija and her male counter-part, Andres Velencoso Segura. Confident, with a relaxed and natural beauty, the Jimmy Choo couple is seemingly caught unaware of the camera’s presence. Moving effortlessly from day into evening –visiting a café, fleeing a masquerade, or just walking the dog – the couple maintains a free-spirited nonchalance that belies their glamorous lives.
“We wanted to reveal a more relaxed side of Jimmy Choo woman and man. This modern and glamorous couple represent a new generation of style. They are the ones you want to know,” Jimmy Choo Creative Directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway explained.
