Style cares: Palestyle AW2012 handbag collection
Don’t shoot us for not featuring Middle Eastern arm candy brand Palestyle until now – we wonder ourselves why it’s taken us this long to give them face time when they never fail to amaze us with delectable, colourful pieces season after season.
The young design duo of Ahmed & Zeina Abou Chaaban have done it once again with the launch of their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection which is now available at Bloomingdale’s. And the best part? The brand is devoted not only of glamming up the regional fashion community but, more importantly, improving the lives of refugee women in Palestine through their dynamic designs and empowering them with income-generating job opportunities and by donating a percentage of their sales to social projects.

If there are two things that can sum up the signature Palestyle design, it’s golden calligraphy and eye-popping hues. That’s still the essence of the new range, by the way, but with a bit of a twist: a patterned bucket bag moves away from Palestyle’s usual lineup of juicy croc clutches while the introduction of lace into the mix of materials adds another dimension to the already successful design formula.
Promoting the warmth of rich culture through Arabic calligraphy and hand made Palestinian embroidery; Palestyle’s handbags are inspired by the beauty of Arabic heritage and have become a fashion staple amongst the stylish elite of theMiddle East and beyond. From contrasting floral patterns and lace to perforated leather designs, the collection boasts a unique versatility with colour and fabrics.
