Catwalk show on water – well, sort of
From the organisers who staged catwalk shows on the London Tower Bridge and Malaysia’s Petronas Towers Skybridge comes a much anticipated runway presentation of nine emerging fashion houses, including the UAE’s own Muazan, at the end of this month.
J Model Management is showcasing new fashion talents from France, USA, Austria, Spain, Poland, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam and the UAE for the international J Summer Fashion Show on the 30th July 2012 on the Seine, Paris.
The grand 60 metre long catwalk will be held on none other than the river’s largest glass boat, Le Jean Bruel, cruising through Paris hot spots including The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Louvre, and Grand Palais des Champs Elysees.
With a vision of developing a whole new fashion show experience, Jessica Minh Anh will create the illusion that the models are walking on water, by arranging for guests to sit facing the multi-facetted glass windows surrounding Le Jean Bruel.
Thanks to a 360 degree view from the boat, the world’s architectural masterpieces along the Seine and the 37 bridges will become a natural backdrop for the grand catwalk.
The J Summer Fashion Show will start at 7:30pm on the 30th July 2012 with a glamorous VIP entrance before the highly expected one hour catwalk, end with a press conference and an exclusive two hour VIP networking party.
Participating brands, besides Mauzan, include America’s leading swimwear brand Verano High, Spanish fashion house Chula, Paris’s luxurious boutique Les Folies De, Polish creative talent Bitru Fariel, Filipino couture designer Joyce Pilarsky, Austrian fashion house Rosbora, Malaysia’s representative Limkokwing, and Vietnamese celebrity designer Hoang Hai.
