The Devil gets revenge, still wears Prada
If there’s a singular literary piece – or Hollywood flick – that’s really piqued interest into the world of fashion so effectively that the industry has become important to mainstream consumers, it’s The Devil Wears Prada.
Well, then we should prepare for yet another wave of mainstream interest in fashion’s previously closely guarded walls because we heard that its author Lauren Weisberger is planning a sequel, Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns, which is due out in April 2013.
The new book, set eight years after the events of the first, follows protagonist Andrea Sachs who is now editor of bridal magazine The Plunge. As she plans her own wedding to media scion Max (what happened to aspiring chef Nate?), the impending doom of Miranda Priestly’s wrath looms.
Excited much? We wonder if this should be written concurrently with the movie script, so we won’t have to wait after the book is released until the new film comes out?
