Emporio Armani continues Eastern tale in Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign

Emporio Armani was one of the first global labels to start looking East not only for new markets to conquer but also for inspiration to integrate into the brand’s design DNA.

Last season, the trendy diffusion label sprinkled some Oriental spice into its advertising campaign by shooting its Spring/Summer 2012 collection against a Far Eastern, vintage China backdrop. Next season isn’t going to be much different, as Emporio Armani shifts its focus to neighbouring Tokyo.

Photographed in colour by Alasdair McLellan, this clean, sharp campaign is set in a nocturnal, futuristic Tokyo. An urban setting marked by bright billboards and powerful graphic symbols acting as the backdrop for shots depicting Anna De Riik, Tao Okamoto, Paolo Anchisi and Alfred Kovac.
