Find your Dubai World Cup 2012 headwear at the BurJuman International Millinery Exhibition
It’s still early in February, but we’re already feeling a hint of the Dubai World Cup fever with the announcement of the highly anticipated BurJuman International Millinery Exhibition, which returns on March 22-31, 2012.
Race-goers can get ready to rule the style stakes, and prepare their headwear ideas for the must-attend event of the season.
The fashion highlight of the racing season will once again include a line-up of some of the most sought-after milliners from across the world, showcasing a selection of their most desirable hats, fascinators and headpieces to crown the heads of all the fashionable fillies at the 2012 Dubai World Cup.
This year’s exhibition includes a host of celebrity favourites including Valerie Corona, Marilena Romeo, Walter Wright Ltd, Christiane Edmondson, Liza Georgia, Jacqueline, John 3v3 Hats and Vivien Sheriff, whose signature feathery creations adorned the heads of no less than 80 guests at the marriage of Prince William to Catherine Middleton last year.
The largest and only exhibition of its kind in the region, the BurJuman International Millinery Exhibition brings together the most extensive collection of designer headgear, allowing the millinery-mad fashionistas in the Middle East a chance to stock up their hat boxes for the rest of this year’s social calendar.
A sneak preview of some of the handmade creations set to be up for grabs include funky feathered and floral fascinators, bold sculptural styles and different takes on this year’s hottest turban-inspired trend.
The millinery exhibition will be on display at South Village, BurJuman from 10 am to 10 pm March 22-31. With one of the best selections of high-street and high fashion brands in Dubai, putting together an entire race-day ensemble from the dress to the shoes, jewellery and statement clutch will be a cinch at the mall’s selection of more than 300 stores.
