Tory Burch hosts exclusive media event to celebrate its first boutique in the Middle East
American luxury fashion brand Tory Burch opened its first boutique in the Middle East with a bang as it hosted an exclusive gathering of the region’s fashion press at The Dubai Mall last month.
Successfully infusing luxurious elegance into classic sportswear, the label showcased its latest collection of fashion and accessories through a trunk show format, with models strutting the store floor clad in Spring/Summer 2012’s most coveted pieces.

For Spring 2012, Tory Burch was inspired by Deauville in the Twenties — sporty and polished with an emphasis on special details. There’s an ease to proportions — raised, below the knee or ankle-length hemlines, drop and natural waist dresses and lightweight knit layers. It’s all mixed with feminine details like raffia, crochet, ruffles, embroidery, layered chiffon and sequins.
Colors evoke the seaside: coral, seafoam and sunflower play off classic navy, ivory and deep red in florals and riptide stripes. Accessories are a mélange of raffia totes, tiny heels, men’s-inspired spectators, long beaded necklaces, oversized stone earrings and colorful and embellished eyewear.
