J Model Management makes history with London Tower Bridge fashion show
The iconic London Tower Bridge is the world’s newest catwalk. The fashion world wasn’t really running out of places to unveil its newest collections, but we’ll accept this quirky new thing.
For the first time ever in history, the 61 meter long walkway of London Tower Bridge was sprinkled with fashion flavour when J Model Management, run by model and entrepreneur Jessica Minh Anh, dared to showcase sought-after collections by top designers from five different continents yesterday, October 20th – hoping to make it as the global fashion phenomenon of the decade.
“It’s challenging as we only have 3 hours to setup and rehearse before the show on the walkway, yet very exciting knowing we are doing something that no one else has done before. We are definitely ready to take high fashion 44 metres off the ground,” said Jessica Minh Anh in a pre-event statement.
International participating brands include Australia Fashion Week brand Ms Couture, Dubai sensation Nabrman, American brand Bettie Page and LA designer Ina Soltani, Moscow Fashion Week brands Razu Mikhina and XO Fashion Studio, Greek luxury swimwear label Paolita, Georgian high fashion brands Avtandil and Maicco, French multi outlet brand Pause Café, Vietnamese couture designer Vo Viet Chung, and Dutch celebrity designer Addy van den Krommenacker.
In this equally-iconic-to-the-London-Tower-Bridge show, brands introduce either their Spring Summer 2012 collection along with their ‘Heritage’ collection, which is a combination of the best pieces from the past collections.
High profile guests included ambassadors from 15 different countries, directors of London 2012, fashion brand managers, celebrities and most celebrated international press.
