LFW SS2012: Issa London trades classy for flirty
The British brand that’s become synonymous with classy and, well, Kate Middleton still has a few tricks up its sleeve. After being thrown into the limelight as one of the Duchess’ favourite labels, Issa London seems to be aiming for a reinvention but without completely abandoning the aesthetic for which it became famous.

Flirty fabrics matched with classic cuts, and humorous doodley prints wrapped around empowered, sophisticated silhouettes were the order of the day, complemented by a touch of retro mod and the usual lineup of unmistakably Issa gowns and kaftans.
Prada going bananas last year? Issa went bananas – too – and grapes, apples, pineapples, watermelons. It’s like Carmen Miranda, but in a good way.
The designer also paid tribute to her Brazilian roots with the youthful I heart Rio line of shirts and resort wear. Kudos to Daniella for creating a line that’s going to help her propagate the Issa brand. Prepare to see a lot of these on the beach and the streets next Summer.
