Gucci Seventies tote: A stab at houndstooth
Remember our whole tirade about how Lady Gaga made houndstooth cool again? Sure, Salvatorre Ferragamo’s the it-designer for all things busy and black-and-white right now, but if the brand’s generally elegant and subdued image doesn’t float your boat, here’s a more suitable alternative.
From Gucci’s 70s-inspired collection aptly dubbed Seventies comes this vintage-looking tote wrapped in a houndstooth pattern, only it’s done in a lower-contrast combo of two shades of brown, plus the house’s signature web detail. Blues singer Keri Hilson was spotted on her way to the ELLE offices in New York carrying this Gucci Seventies tote – a counter it-bag to Ferragamo’s busily-detailed clutch?
The Gucci Seventies tote is available online for $2,100 and at their UAE boutiques at The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi.
