Amanda Navai Summer 2011 python accessories
Amanda Navai, La Moda’s favourite brand of affordable python goodies ranging from bracelets to ballet flats to reversible two-in-one clutches, looks back on the year past and celebrates its phenomenal success with a Summer 2011 collection.
This season, Amanda Navai unveils a few new additions to the hot-selling versalite clutch-slash-shoulder bag, which introduces the use of Middle Eastern motifs yet maintains its focus on dyed snakeskin.
“My bags offer practicality and luxury at the same time. The reversible clutches provides double the fun with a play of bold colors, and gives off a classic and edgy look for all occasions,” says Amanda Navaian, the designer behind the label. In the Fall of last year, La Moda spoke to Amanda, who told us that she names her designs after her close friends. So who among her besties are getting the Bryanboy treatment this Summer?
In addition to Layla and Yasmin, who probably are pseudo-celebrities now thanks to the bestselling clutches named after them, Amanda Navai designs will now include the Aliya (our top pick from this collection), the Maureen, and the Raquel, which presents a very practical sartorial proposition against Celine’s astronomically-appraised neon clutch.
All designs continue to follow the brand’s philosophy – to be as wearable as possible (followers of the cost-per-wear mantra would be absolute fanatics of Amanda Navai, we presume). The models are either reversible with two colour options, usually a bright hue for day and a darker, more elegant shade for night, or comes with interchangeable chains or both. Each piece in the new collection now also comes with a python card holder.
Amanda Navai accessories are available at Saks Fifth Avenue in Dubai.
