Lady Gaga redhead on Rolling Stone cover

By  |  4 Comments

It looks like 2011 is the year to go red, with many celebrities sporting dyed hair that falls anywhere between sweet auburn locks and fiery Rosso corsa curls (Paging Rihanna, it’s not working for you).

Blake Lively, Mandy Moore and Drew Barrymore have recently gone ginger, but we never would have thought Lady Gaga would get rid of her fake blonde hair to become a redhead. She was recently on the cover of V Magazine’s Asian issue, sporting black hair with Japanese pop bangs, and her next conquest is the cover of Rolling Stone’s June 9, 2011 issue, where she ties her pinkish orange strands into a neat bow.

We thought Lady Gaga was a trendsetter, but apparently even this eccentric pop-star-slash-pretentious-magazine-columnist can’t control her me-too gene when it comes to going red. Perhaps the calling was too strong to resist. So who’s next to pop a tube of Garnier Nutrisse R3?

You really have good writers here at La Moda. Give me sarcasm anytime and I’m on board.

The redhead thing? I don’t know.  Might as well give them a wand and ta-da….. Welcome to the big Weasley family..

We love natural redheads. It goes with a rosy white skin tone. Perhaps wannabes don’t notice that?
