Jewellery for charity by Bulgari and Kwiat

It’s so easy for so many of us to spend upwards of $5,000 on jewellery in a heartbeat just so we can feel all sparkly and shiny, but when it comes to supporting a charity or cause, most of the time we have to think twice about it before making the plunge.

That’s why we think the stars align when jewellery companies unveil special edition products in support of a worthwhile cause – it’s good for compulsive shopping and making the world a better place while we’re at it.

Italian jeweller Bvlgari has announced its second campaign for Save the Children, a charitable organisation focused on creating lasting change in the lives of children in need in the United States and around the world, with a limited range of silver/ceramic rings and pendants. For every purchase of the $375 ring, $75 will go towards Save the Children. The collection is now available for pre-order on Bvlgari’s US site.

Currently engaged in a similar initiative is diamond specialist Kwiat, which is fronting a humanitarian campaign for charity: water, a non-profit organisation that has tasked itself of bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations.

Kwiat is raising funds for charity: water through its special Diamond Waterdrop bracelet, which features a central design element of a waterdrop, crafted from silver, set with a 0.02 carat diamond and attached to a braided leather strap. The Kwiat Diamond Waterdrop bracelet costs $100 and is available for purchase on their website.
