Prada and Miu Miu back in the UAE
Remember the time when we bid good bye to our beloved Prada? That piece of news that we published just over a year ago indeed rattled the brand’s loyal followers in the UAE, but we’re happy to report that you should worry no more because all things Prada will be back in Dubai very soon.
We have just received reports that the Prada Group is signing a joint venture agreement with UAE based Al Tayer Insignia LLC for the development of a retail network for Prada and Miu Miu brands across the Middle East countries, namely in Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
We were almost sure Prada’s Press Office was giving us a form response when they told us that “Dubai remains one of our priorities, although we are still examining different options and opportunities for a comeback,” but apparently Prada’s comeback to the GCC was imminent.
Hopefully the stores will open in time for Prada’s Fall/Winter 2011 line.

The joint venture company, headquartered in Dubai, will oversee the roll out of Prada and Miu Miu stores across the region, leveraging Al Tayer Insignia’s market knowledge and expertise.
Excited much? Well, you’re not alone. This also is great news for the strategic development in Al Tayer Insignia’s business portfolio. In fact, this joint venture represents another significant milestone for the Al Tayer Group and cements the luxury conglomerate’s position as the ideal partner for leading luxury brands in the Middle East.
