Miss Selfridge to open at the Dubai Mall

No more driving all the way to Mirdiff City Centre to get your Selfridge fix, Downtown Dubai dwellers. British high-street label Miss Selfridge is set to expand its footprint in the UAE with the opening a new store at the Dubai Mall later this month.

Scheduled for a soft opening on February 19, the Miss Selfridge brand has built a unique reputation following its ‘fashion only’ proposition – meaning there are no basic products in the Miss Selfridge range.

Forget the crew-neck tees and all other boring items – the brand only sells trend-observing pieces for young fashionistas.

Originally part of the world-famous Selfridges department store, and having its first home on Duke Street in central London in 1966, Miss Selfridge has grown to become an iconic brand in its own right.

The opening will be followed by an official event on February 24, featuring an exclusive fashion show for VIPs and the brand’s loyal followers at the Dubai Mall’s Fashion Catwalk atrium. Customers get to win VIP seats at the show with every purchase of AED 200 or more.

Did you know?

The first dresses by Miss Selfridge were paper dresses designed to be worn once and then thrown away, designed by Sylvia Ayton and Zandra Rhodes.

Pierre Cardin, a famous French couturier, was commissioned by the high-street house to design four exclusive collections a year.
