Prepare for the Corto Moltedo trunk show
What are you doing on November 23 and 24? Nothing exciting on your calendar yet? Well, good, clear your schedule on those days then because we doubt something more important than the Corto Moltedo trunk show would come up. This is the first time the designer will be in Dubai so you better listen up.
In case you’ve been living under a bucket of white sand, Corto Moltedo (born Gabrielecorto Moltedo) is the son of Bottega Veneta founders Laura and Vittorio Moltedo, and he’s stepping foot on our golden shores to showcase an exquisite array of luxurious arm candy that, to say the least, is going to propel you into the league of A-list celebrities such as Madonna, Kate Hudson, Lindsay Lohan (the woman’s got issues, but her strong personal style is undeniable) and Cheryl Cole.
Moltedo has had a successful trunk show in Abu Dhabi back in March. No surprises there – as a direct descendant of the Moltedos, he’s basically high fashion royalty. Having spent countless Summers by his parents’ side at the factory, he learned the craft of creating luxury handbags from the ground up.
In 2004, he founded the Corto Moltedo brand, and it has become synonymous with sumptuous colors, bold hardware and meticulous attention to detail. Since the birth of the label, Corto Moltedo has been redefining the notions of luxury in the accessories market with his own signature blend of pop-luxe chic.
Now, back to the trunk show. Prepare for two exciting shopping days dedicated to the rich art of opulent day purses and evening clutches, happening on these dates:
Tuesday 23rd November: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Trunk Show (Women Only)
2:00 PM – 8:00 PM Trunk Show
Wednesday 24th November: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM Trunk Show
This event will be exclusively for VIP guests and by invitation only. The venue has not been disclosed, but we’ll touch base with you via Twitter and Facebook and additionally update this page as soon as we hear anything. We get to see the collection the day before trunk show opens its doors to shoppers, and we will be reporting to you with our thoughts on the collection, plus loads of photos. Until then, brush off the plastic – we anticipate a rigorous workout for your credit card coming very soon.
UPDATE: We know the “by invitation only” part about the trunk show is driving you crazy, sending you all over Dubai to look for the elusive golden ticket, so we’ve decided to be helpful rather than taunt you childishly in neener-neener fashion. Want your own invite to the event? Get in touch with the organisers directly via email at this address: firstname.lastname@example.org. They’ll be happy to accommodate your request.
