The Dubai Ladies Club charity sale is on

It’s that time of the year when you should use your fab fashionista power for a good cause. As we’ve noted in a previous story, the Dubai Ladies Club is holding a special charity sale of over 300 designer bags and accessories, the proceeds which will be donated to the Mohammed bin Rashid Charitable Humanitarian Foundation.

Don’t get too excited, you still have a good 10 days to get your card-swiping techniques in the zone as the huge sale is happening this coming August 28th at the Al Mahara Ballroom, Dubai Ladies Club from 8pm until midnight. Yep, it’s gonna be on for just four hours on one day only. We’re totally imagining the sample sale scene from Confessions of a Shopaholic.

Donate Your Bag and Accessories is an annual charity campaign launched in 2009 by the Dubai Ladies Club in collaboration with Reem and Hind Beljafla of DAS Collection. It is a program that invites ladies to donate their gently used designer bags and accessories to raise donations and funds.

The collections gathered in this year’s drive include luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi, Dior, Chanel and many others. All donations have been thoroughly checked for authenticity through a series of stringent tests courtesy of Toujours Chic, a UAE-based boutique selling authentic pre-owned designer handbags and accessories.  A certificate guaranteeing 100% authenticity will be placed with every bag and accessory to assure all buyers that they are not knock offs.

To get a preview of what to expect during the one-day charity sale, you can visit Arabian Centre as they are running an exclusive exhibition of some distinctive items.

This is between you and me: A brand new Louis Vuitton Alma in Amarante, donated by the French malletier, will be awaiting its rightful owner at the sale event. You might want to queue up at exactly 8pm to get a hold of this bag at a fraction of its original price. Just saying.
