Splash’s A/W2010 line might be interesting

We know Dubai’s Splash isn’t really the kind of fashion brand we cover here at La Moda because, you know, we’re all high society, massive net-worth individuals around here (kidding). But the teaser photos from their upcoming Autumn/Winter collection caught our attention and, honestly, they look promising.

Of course, we can’t judge the entire collection right now because we haven’t seen it fully, just bits of it. However, these presumably faux shearling-lined coats look like pieces that we would expect to see from more upscale, more fashion-forward, and generally more financially straining labels. Those fancy designer names that we at La Moda love so much like we’re being paid to do it.

But we say it’s always a welcome idea to explore beyond the world of centuries-old fashion houses. And that’s what we’re doing now.

We don’t know how the rest of the Fall line is going to fare against our overly structured yet highly subjective review system, but as far as these two coats are concerned, we’re sold. Besides, penny pinching is totally in these days. Yes, we’re still young enough to say totally. Totally young.
