For the past few days, we have given a rundown of the Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 collections that rocked the fashion world. Well, don’t hate us for continuing to do so, because we simply want to share with you the joy of aspiring beautiful ensembles that will brighten up the coming cold season.

Needless to say, since the moment Sonia Rykiel’s collection photos landed in our mailbox, we wished we could rush the hours to winter. The stunning set of trendy wearable knits, which Rykiel does best, plus the playful yet fancy hues of red, blue, khaki, vanilla and multi-colored stripes made us linger to the thoughts of bashing Christmas and New Year parties in style and glamour.

Our wishes for summer to be over aside, who could say no to the fetching wardrobe Rykiel presented in her show in Paris last March? Remember how the smiling models strut the catwalk, donned with pompom hair bands – taking us to presume that Blair Wladorf’s favorite accessory is here to stay – in classy sophisticated women’s wear stamped with Rykiel’s signature?  That was quite a sight.

Don’t forget though, the queen of knits also showed us the perfect way to make cardigans the vogue of the age, helping us in getting rid of the imprints of old-fashioned, knit-wearing preppies and grannies. And, now, the ready-to-wear collection that boasted of chic sweater dresses, gorgeous coats, sexy silk shifts, military-inspired suits and effortlessly stylish jumpsuits is here in Dubai, promising us a fashionable winter.
