When couture meets culture
We warned you June was going to be a fashion-filled month, what with the DSS just around the corner and the various sales that are tempting us everywhere and all.
To give our wallet a break whilst still satiating our fashion fix with a bit of culture, we’ll be heading to the Shelter this month for its Movie Nights dedicated to – you guessed it – fashion.
Curated by fashion designer, stylist, writer, and winner of S*uce’s design competition Tima Ouzden, movies start at 8:30 p.m. and include fashionista must-see Coco Avant Chanel with the adorable Audrey Tautou and Valentino: The Last Emperor, providing a first-time glimpse into Valentino’s world of bygone glamour.
We know you’re dying to know what else Shelter’s going to screen on its weekly Movie Night so we’re not going to keep you:
Tuesday, 1st June – Grey Gardens (Tonight!)
Tuesday, 8th June – Coco Avant Chanel
Tuesday, 15th June – Rear Window
Tuesday, 22nd June – Valentino: The Last Emperor
Shelter is located at Warehouse 209, 318th Road at the Al Quoz Industrial area in Dubai. If that didn’t make sense to you and you require something visual to navigate your way there, here’s a location map. Admission is free for Shelter members, while outsiders (Yes, it’s like a club) will have to cough up AED 15 to soak in some cinematic culture.
