Natalie Portman: The new face of Parfums Christian Dior
Marking the latest union of cosmetics and the silver screen, Christian Dior has just revealed that Natalie Portman is set to be the new ambassador for Parfums Christian Dior – though the label has yet to confirm for which fragrance – saying Portman has been chosen because she “will symbolize with grace the values of luxury and the glamour of Dior.”
It is the first beauty campaign for the accomplished actress who is joining Dior’s cast of A-list beauties, including Charlize Theron, Sharon Stone and Monica Belluci.
With her ethereal good looks and noted intellect (Portman graduated from Harvard University with a degree in psychology), the gamine actress is a welcome breath of fresh air and we think she will be an ideal model to reach a younger audience.
Natalie Portman has enjoyed so far a stellar career, shooting to fame in 1994 in French action film Léon. She has garnered much praise for her movie roles, including the Star Wars prequel trilogy, The Other Boleyn Girl and Closer.
Not afraid of standing for what she believes in, she even shaved her head for her role in V for Vendetta. Portman is also a vegetarian since childhood and a keen advocate for animal rights.
