Kara Ross to design special collection for Tory Burch
Quirky fashion jewellery designer Kara Ross is set to design a collection of statement jewellery for childhood friend and fellow designer Tory Burch. The collaboration, called Kara Ross for Tory Burch, is slated for release this Fall.
The collection will incorporate Kara Ross’s fashionably-dark-but-never-creepy evil eye motif and will include 14K gold-plated metal and resin cuff bracelets, rings, chokers, pendants and bib necklaces featuring coloured enamels and semi-precious gemstones. The BFF collection has been designed specifically to compliment the tones and palette of Tory Burch’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection.
Both designers grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and have spent their careers in the fashion industry, Tory working for designers such as Carolina Herrera and Narcisco Rodriguez and now as the founder of her eponymous brand and Kara, as a gemologist, fine jeweller and founder of her accessories brand.
The line will be available in July at Tory Burch stores internationally and online at Net-a-Porter.com, KaraRossNY.com and ToryBurch.com. No word yet on how we can score any of these intriguing pieces for ourselves in the UAE, but we’re hoping boutiques that carry accessories by Kara Ross will also sell this limited edition collection.
